​Mr. Myron E. Thomas has been Director of Bands at Eau Claire High School since 1987  and retired May 2012. Before coming to Eau Claire, Mr. Thomas taught at Hemmingway  Middle School and High School in 1977, Bishopville High School, Ashwood High  School, and Bishopville Middle School from 1978-1980, also Timmonsville High School  and Middle School from 1980-1987.

Mr. Thomas received a B.S. degree in Instrumental  Music Education from South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, S.C. He did post  graduate work at Francis Marion University, Furman University, Columbia College,  University of South Carolina, Berklee School of Music, FullSail and VanderCook School  of Music. Mr. Thomas has conducted band clinics and camps at South Carolina State  University, John C Smith University, Benedict College, Richland One School District and  Williamsburg County School District.

Mr. Thomas is a Governor’s School Intern, a  member of The National Association for Music Education, South Carolina Music  Education Association, South Carolina Band Director Association, and served on the  Jazz committee for SCMEA.
